明治31年に開坑した三井山野炭坑。
設置するボイラーを、芳雄から山野までの約6キロ、南蛮(なんば)と呼ばれる巻揚げ機で運んだそうです。当時は、ボイラーのことをカマと呼んでいました。
It is said that the Mitsui Yamano Pit which was opened in 1898 carried their boilers with a windlass called Namba for about 6 kilometers from Yoshio to Yamano.
The boiler was called Kama at that time.
